PROGRAM: Brian S. Blevins, PLS, will present material from his three volume textbook: Masters of Measuring the Earth - The History of Land Surveying and will focus on Albert Einstein, The Godfather of Modern Land Surveying Technology
This presentation will explore Einstein’s 1905 paper on quantization of the radiation field (photoelectric-effect), his famous 1915 presentation of the theory of general relativity and his 1917 theory of radiation and the consequences on the development of modern land surveying tools and technologies, including the EDM, Laser Scanners and GPS.
